End of Year Wrap up from the P&C
What a year!! This year's fair was like no other because you guys, yes, all of you, brought the extra magic. You did some great artworks, designed the poster, you consulted over rides, got involved in the spotto campaign, delivered flyers and even made bunting and decorations for the day. Thank you, you did a great job.
All those things, plus a few more are organised for you by our P & C. We don’t just have fun but we raise money for the school to buy all sorts of extras for you guys – over the years we’ve helped with things like new books, ipads and computers, new gardens, playground equipment and next year we will even have an outdoor kitchen for the vege garden.
None of this would happen without the help of our amazing volunteers.
So, at the end of the year, I always think it’s a nice time to take a moment to reflect on everything we have to be grateful for.
Here’s what I’m grateful for and hopefully some of these things are important to you too:
I’m grateful we have a beautiful school filled with happy, healthy children and clever, caring teachers and staff. That’s you.
I’m grateful that we have a group of volunteers who have always given their best, for the benefit of our school community. P & C – I’m looking at you. Thank you.
I’m grateful for the friends I’ve met through helping with the P & C since I first joined way back in 2014. You know who you are.
Most of all I’m grateful for the excellent education both my kids have received at Moss Vale Public School.
Like anything, our P & C goes through cycles. It’s evolved a lot since I first joined and over the years we’ve achieved some really amazing things for the school, but none of it’s possible without volunteers. So this time, parents and carers, I’m looking at you. P & C is not only about meetings and formalities. We have a lot of fun at events and the work we do is really important to supplement the school’s budget. Your kids will love seeing you involved and the joy you feel from giving back to such an important community is just the best. We’re excited to see some new faces join in next year and invite you to get involved in whatever way works for you. We’re a diverse bunch of people and we will welcome you with open arms.
I need to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the P & C this year. Your involvement did not go unnoticed and large or small, whether you were front and centre or beavering away quietly in the background, your efforts are appreciated.
Congratulations to everyone on another wonderful year of learning. To today’s award recipients and performers, well done.
To our fantastic year six families – High School, here you come! I’m totally biased, but I think our year six crew is top-notch. Farewell, and go rock your next chapter!
Now, as we say goodbye to school for 2023, the P & C wishes you all a great summer holiday filled with lots of love and laughter. We'll catch you in 2024, recharged and ready for another year of excellence in Education, Inclusion, and Community.
Thank you.
